To my brothers in the Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge,
It has been an honor to represent you and the entirety of the youth in the Middle Tennessee Council this year as your lodge chief. It has been an amazing year for us. Hosting the SR-6 Conclave, getting one of our own members elected to the vice chief of the section, attaining 1000 members, and improving chapters across the board are just some of the achievements that have been accomplished by the Lodge Executive Committee. The team that we built and maintained functioned excellently, proving once again that the Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge is a top-tier lodge. As this year comes to a close and the 2018 Lodge Officers that we elected at Fall Fellowship begin to transition into their terms, I have full faith that this new team of officers, with the help, guidance, and experience of their advisers, will continue to improve our program and build upon this year’s achievements.
As we celebrate the past at Winter Banquet tonight, let us look to the future also. If you wish to be a part of a team that consistently performs at a professional level and has fun doing it, I encourage you to reach out to an officer and ask about joining a committee. No matter your experience level, there is always something that you can do to help push our program to become better each and every year.
To conclude, I would like to personally thank my lodge officers and their advisers for assisting me throughout the year and supporting the goals of the lodge through their hard work and continuous effort. I also would like to thank my adviser, Craig Salazar, and my staff adviser, Mark Lytle, for their guidance and experience that I was fortunate enough to learn from. None of what has been done would be possible without all of you and it has been a great privilege to work with you.
Wimachtendienk, Wingolauchsik, Witahemui,
Brent A. West | Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge Chief
