What does this mean to me?
You have an opportunity to go out and build a camp from the ground up, literally. There are only three buildings on the property and no trails have been built. It is the lodge’s job now to go out and build the trails that future generations of scouts will walk, and maybe, even your own sons will walk these paths. Many youth have already promised to lead a crew up to Latimer for weekend trips to help develop Latimer into the Philmont of the East.
How do I sign up?
You sign up by finding a crew leader near you. A list will be put up shortly with the names of crew leaders along with the dates they are leaving for Latimer and their contact information. The crew leader will then contact you and give you the information you will need in order to be a contributor to the crew.
This is all fine and good, but why should I join? What’s the catch?
This is the best part, there is no catch! The only fee involved will be to cover gas and food for the weekend, and that is determined by the crew leader. And you should want to go for the sake of going and starting a camp that no one else has even seen before. But, for those of you who need materialistic needs, the lodge will be awarding a one-of-a-kind lodge flap for those people who participate in this inaugural year for ArrowCorps111.
Closing Thoughts
I hope you all now consider what you want to do to be a part of this monumental achievement. Many lodges have started their own ArrowCorps(insert number here), but our ArrowCorps111 is truly an ArrowCorps experience. Now join us in making Latimer into the best high adventure base in the nation. |
