“What is Winter Camp?” Winter Camp is a week long, youth run, campout all about fun located at Middle Tennessee Council’s very own Boxwell Reservation! Order of The Arrow members have the opportunity to help their fellow scouts earn merit badges and have the time of their lives! There are several different teams that are formed to make Winter Camp a huge success in which ALL OA members can participate. You can work in Evening Program where you can plan and perform in two huge campfires that bring the ENTIRE camp out! If you are interested in being a part of a team that plans activities where Scouts can compete and win prizes (maybe even play yourself), Afternoon Activitiesis the team for you.

If you have a passionfor teaching and love a certain merit badge, you should sign up for the Training Team. Of course, you can’t forget about the FOOD! If you want to be a part of cooking and serving delicious mouthwatering food to the camp, the Kitchen Team is the place for you. Winter Camp is an amazing place to make new friends, serve your lodge, and most importantly HAVE FUN!! So come on! Join your OA brothers and sisters at Boxwell Under the Big Top!

“Boxwell Under the Big Top sounds like a lot of Fun, but what does is it mean?” Good question! The Order of the Arrow decided that the best way to have fun at Winter Camp is to bring a big party to Boxwell, and there isn’t a single party that is better than a circus! Boxwell will be the week long home of real-life clowns that will be teaching the Clowning 101 merit badge. They will also be performing at the closing campfire. Popcorn will be EVERYWHERE! The leaders of Winter Camp are going to make sure that you are swimming in popcorn by the time you leave! There are many more activities that you can look forward to!

“That sounds awesome! When is Winter Camp?” The Fun starts on December 26th for the staff members arriving between noon and 4 pm. Campers will begin to arrive on December 27th at Noon. Check out is December 31st at 10 am when campers will begin to depart. At 3 pm, the staff dismissal will begin.

“Holy Smokes, that sounds like a ton of fun packed into five days! So, how much is this going to cost me?” For Staff members there is NO cost!! If you are a camper, camp is $115 if you register before November 13th ($125 after that).
