Boy Scouts of America
The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.
To recognize those campers - Scouts and Scouters - who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives and by such recognition cause other campers to conduct themselves in such manner as to warrant recognition.
Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge, the 111th lodge to be founded, was established at the old Camp Boxwell, located on the Narrows of the Harpeth, on May 20, 1938. The lodge is based today out of Camp Boxwell, in the Middle Tennessee Council. We currently have around 1000 registered members. The name Wa-Hi-Nasa means Home of the Eagles in Cherokee.
